Prayer Against Lukewarmness

A few days ago Franklin Graham, the son of the evangelist, Billy Graham (of blessed memory) asked believers to set aside Sunday, October 25, 2020, as a day of fasting and prayer for our country.  See link:

I decided that I could at least fast one meal and pray for our country  After praying, I decided to watch again Kevin Zadai's YouTube video entitled 'It's Time To Take Back Our Country.'   Here's the link:

The first thing Kevin tells us we need to do in order to take back our country is that we need to fight against lukewarmness.  This struck a chord with me and I meditated on what lukewarmness is and repented of this transgression in my life.

Last week, as I was reading in the Psalms, chapter 16, verse 8 stirred me.  King David says this:  'I always set Adonai before me; with Him at my right hand I can never be moved.'  (CJB)  That is the secret to victorious living!  To always set the Lord before us in whatever we are doing.  If only this could be deeply implanted and rooted in us!

My Prayer:

Dear Abba, I lift up my voice in prayer to You against the lukewarmness that has infiltrated its way within my life, and within the lives of the body of Mashiach.  Over time, I allowed my passion to spend precious time with You to cool.  I spent more and more time on the internet, and on Face Book, then with You, in prayer.  I have robbed You of the time You would have spent with me, precious time we could have spent together.  It was time in which I could have gotten directions and instructions from You in order to carry our Your desire for my life.  It was time in which I could have heard Your voice and received that which was and is needful for me to hear in order to fulfill Your purposes.  It was time in which I could have received revelations and encouragements and inspirations from You.  I could have gained more understanding in the spiritual realm.  I could have received from heaven that which cannot be found in the fleshly realm.  Please forgive me, and all those like me, and cleanse us, and give us hearts filled with repentance for this shameful behavior.  I pray this in Yeshua’s mighty name and for His glory.

Revelation 3:14-22 - Complete Jewish Bible

"To the angel of the Messianic Community in Laodicea, write: 'Here is the message from the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the Ruler of God's creation: "I know what you are doing: you are neither cold nor hot.  How I wish you were either one or the other!  So, because you are lukewarm, neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth!  For you keep saying, 'I am rich, I have gotten rich, I don't need a thing!  You don't know that you are the one who is wretched, pitiable, poor, blind and naked!  My advice to you is to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich; and white clothing, so that you may be dressed and not have to be ashamed of your nakedness; and eye salve to rub on your eyes, so that you may see.  As for me, I rebuke and discipline everyone I love; so exert yourselves, and turn from your sins!  Here, I'm standing at the door, knocking.  If someone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he will eat with me.  I will let him who wins the victory sit with me on my throne, just as I myself also won the victory and sat down with my Father on his throne.  Those who have ears, let them hear what the Spirit is saying to the Messianic communities.""
